Keyboard Shortcuts
Global shortcut
Section titled “Global shortcut”The default shortcut to open the launcher is Cmd+Shift+Space on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+Space on other platforms. Pressing it again while the launcher is open dismisses it.
You can change this shortcut in Settings under General → Global Shortcut. Click Change and press the new key combination you want to use.
In-launcher shortcuts
Section titled “In-launcher shortcuts”Once the launcher is open, these shortcuts are available:

| Cmd+Enter / Ctrl+Enter | Execute the secondary action (shown in the footer bar). |
| ↓ / ↑ | Move selection down or up. |
| Page Down / Page Up | Move selection down or up by 8 rows. |
| Escape | Clear the search query. If already empty, close the launcher. |
Text editing
Section titled “Text editing”The search field supports Emacs-style text editing shortcuts:

Gadget shortcuts
Section titled “Gadget shortcuts”Some gadgets register their own global shortcuts for direct access. For example, the Clipboard Manager can be opened directly with Cmd+Shift+V on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+V on other platforms, without going through the main launcher first.
Gadget-specific shortcuts can be customized in the gadget’s own settings panel within Settings.
On Linux, global keyboard shortcuts may not be manageable by the application itself, depending on the display server in use. Under Wayland, the compositor controls global shortcut registration, so you may need to configure the Torchsnap shortcut through your desktop environment’s keyboard settings (for example GNOME Settings or KDE System Settings) rather than within the app.
Under X11, Torchsnap can register global shortcuts directly, similar to macOS.
